Members of the Senate Family today and many of us have lost a dear friend. We are brokenhearted at the news former senator hagan passed away at the age of6. 66. I spoke to her husband a few hours ago and i told him from the moment i first met kay hagan a new shoe special. She remained that way every day since. She was an amazing force , never allow that only strong. D, and a kindhearted person to tell me he and k just had a wonderful weekend of dinner , wedding and surrounded by friends and famil family. She got to spend some time with joe biden who was in town and ship said she was beaming. I take some comfort in knowing that. In fact it reminded me how she lived her life. She was never one to let sometimes painful realities of politics get her down.
