NxT radio launches on Dstv

Next Media’s NxT radio has been launched onto the DStv platform. During an event held at the Next media’s headquarters in Naguru, it was announced that lovers of NxT radio will not only have to listen to their favourite presenters on 106.1 FM, but will also be able to watch them live on DStv channel 898 while in studio.
Marcus Kwikiriza, the general manager of NxT radio noted that this is a big achievement for them; to be the first audio/visual radio from Uganda on the DStv platform.
Kwikiriza added that being an audio/visual radio is a new concept in this part of the world, a reason to stir excitement. Kwikiriza added that this was a special step for a young radio, that is among the fastest-growing.

MultiChoice Uganda has announced that its premium subscribers will continue to access Showmax free of charge when they add the streaming platform to their DStv bill.
In addition, their customers on DStv Access, Compact and Compact Plus will also now access the streaming platform on their DStv bill but at half price.
Joan Semanda Kizza, the PR and Communications Manager at MultiChoice Uganda, while unveiling the Showmax offer said that, “At DStv, we are delighted to announce even more perks for our customers. In September, DStv Premium customers in Uganda were rewarded with Showmax as an extra service to their bouquets at no extra cost, when they simply added it to their bill.”

While addressing the media at the launch of the promotion at a Dstv agent store in Kireka recently, Colin Asiimwe, the head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, called the drive groundbreaking.
“As a continuation of the season’s celebration into the new year, we are excited to lower the cost of entry for our new Dstv customers by allowing them to make the switch from other pay TV providers to the home of the world’s best football.”
