SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Selma police are investigating an odd ‘whodunit’ after alleged thieves made off with a piece that had been quietly sitting for more than a century in a historic cemetery until March 19.
Selma investigators are looking for a stone chair and the suspects behind what they believe is a strange ransom note. It wasn’t just any old chair.
The ornate Jefferson Davis Chair disappeared in March from the Selma cemetery where it had quietly remained since (Source: WSFA 12 News viewer) ....

SELMA, Ala. (WSFA) - Selma police investigators face an unusual situation; two cases involving missing people. One has since been found deceased while the other is still missing. The cases are unrelated.
We begin with the story of Betty Jo Mitchell, 64, who was reported missing by her husband on Christmas Eve. Police say the couple shared a home upstream on the Alabama River.
“We’re not ruling anything out as far as her health or otherwise,” said Selma Police Chief Kenta Fulford. ....
