Americans serving in afghanistan are sufferings deeply. they are mourning the loss of their loved ones. they were sons, daughters, brothers and sisters, and they were all so young, all of them putting their lives on the line to save the lives of others, leaving behind a legacy of self-lessness. tonight, we learned their names and we remember who they were in and out of uniform. marine lance corporal rylee mccollum was going to be a father. his sister said he wanted to be a marine his whole life, so much so that he carried around a toy rifle and cowboy boots. he was a beautiful soul. tough as nails with a heart of gold. someone who could not stand ....
They were sons, daughters, they were brothers and sisters, and they were all so young, all of them putting their lives on the line to save the lives of others, leaving behind a legacy of self-lessness. tonight we learned their names and we lesbian refresh who they were in and out of uniform. marine lance corporal riley mccallum was just 20 years old. he was from jackson, wyoming. he was going to become a dad for the first time in a matter of weeks. he wanted to be a marine his whole life. even as a toddler in diapers he carried around a rifle. his father says he was a beautiful soul, tough as nails with the heart of gold, someone who could not stand injustice, someone who would stand up for those bullied in his class. corporal wanted to be a lineman, his family says the 23-year-old ....

Americans whose heroic actions inspire others. a mom shielded her 4-year-old daughter with her own body. a father who helped guide others to safety even though he been shot not once but twice. off duty firefighter told his wife he had to run but he had to stay to help those in need. an army veteran rushed to the scene to fiend his girlfriend ad mom and ended up carrying the wounded off the field. these were everyday americans. everyday. from this day forward, we ll remember their self lessness and encourage when ever we remember the dark hour. Safety. it was dark. it was cold. and they were all really scared. but thankfully we were able to get them to the boat. i know the neighbor had you went into and this rescue had already been cleared out. so theoretically everybody was out. but of course ythey weren t. and you went back in and found this family. you are here to try to do good things. were you scared? well, of course. you know, i was watching the news on my couch in the comfort of my own home with my children sunday and it just didn t feel right laying on the couch and watching houston suffer. it almost felt like a sin. so i felt that god put on my heart to call my brother and say we re going to houston. of course it was scary. when you are going off of faith and adrenaline and basically self-lessness, which i think i m not the only one. i think everyone out there just completely stops thinking about ....
