Three Policemen And Three Others Remanded Over Farmer's Death In Seikwa | Crime

  A Sunyani District Court has again remanded three Policemen and three other suspects concerning the death and secret burial of a-48-year-old farmer at Seikwa in the Tain District of the Bono Region. General Constable Ebenezer Akuffo, General Corporal Williams Akussung and Chief Inspector Eric Aforo, the Station Officer at the Seikwa Police Station were alleged to have maltreated the farmer, Abu Nepah, to death, and buried him secretly at a public cemetery at Seikwa. The incident happened between April 16 and 17, this year, of which the Police Administration has since interdicted these accused officers. They would re-appear before the Court on Tuesday, June 8, 2021.

Graphic Online BY: Emmanuel Adu-Gyamerah 30.5k Shares 705 The Sunyani High Court 2 last Thursday granted a GH¢100,000 bail with two sureties to one of the six persons accused of the murder and secret burial of a 48-year-old charcoal burner, Abu Bukari Bahala, at Seikwa in the Tain District in the Bono Region. The presiding judge, Justice Gabriel Mate-Teye, granted the bail application of the Manager of the Nkoranman Rural Bank, Mr Emmanuel Ofori, on health grounds but refused to grant the application for bail by counsels for the other five accused persons. Three of the accused persons, who are police officers at the Seikwa Police Station, are Chief Inspector Eric Aforo, General Corporal William Apussung and General Constable Ebenezer Akuffo, while the remaining two, who are security men at the Nkoranman Rural Bank, are Rubin Obeng and Aaron Abbey.

Police officers accused of killing 48-year-old man at Seikwa caged Listen to article The Sunyani Circuit Court A presided over by His Lordship Jojo Hagan, has for the second time remanded into prison custody, three police officers and three others accused of brutalizing Abu Bukari Gbahara, a suspect who was in their custody, to death and secretly burying him. The six were charged on two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime to wit: murder, contrary to section 23 (1) and 46 of the Criminal Offenses Act, 1960 (Act 29), and murder. The suspects include General Constable Ebenezer Akuffo, 24, General Corporal Williams Akussung, 38, and Chief Inspector Eric Aforo, aged 48, all police officers at the Seikwa station.

Bono Police Releases Charcoal Burner's Body For Reburial | Social

  The Bono Regional Police Command has released the body of a 48-year-old charcoal burner, Abu Bukari Bahala, who was allegedly killed and secretly buried by three police officers at Seikwa in the Tain District for re-burial in Sunyani. The body was released to family members at the Sunyani Regional Hospital after an autopsy was conducted by a Senior Specialist Pathologist at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Dr. Ernest K. Adjei, on Sunday, April 25, 2021. The pathologist described the death as unnatural, as Bahala died due to a chest injury and blunt trauma to the chest. The deceased was said to have smashed the car windscreen of the Manager of the Nkoranman Rural Bank, Mr. Emmanuel Ofori, as a result of which he was beaten to death. The registration number of the vehicle is AS 2000- X.
