UCC bill set to be placed in Uttarakhand assembly

The five-member committee, which is headed by Supreme Court retired judge Ranjana Desai, includes former judge Pramod Kohli, former chief secretary of the Uttarakhand government Shatrughan Singh, social activist Manu Gaur and Doon University VC Surekha Dangwal. The panel toured the state and took suggestions from the public to complete its task of preparing the draft report for the implementation of UCC in the state.
