what secretary burns told congress today because he seems to be acknowledging that there is real damage there. the reality is that the despicable breach of trust we ve seen through the wikileaks disclosures has done substantial damage to our ability to carry out diplomatic efforts. that s a pretty blunt assessment from bill burns. i m not underestimating that when you potentially have 250,000 cables released to the public, and these are secret cables, they re secret for a reason there has been damage caused here. we engage people around the world in government and in civil society, and we have put sources at risk through these revelations. we re going to aggressively investigate and prosecute those responsible, but we can expect that for a period of time, there might be more cautious sources. there might be less information available to us.
