BLACKPINK Rosé s -R- is the Best-Selling Album by a Female K-Pop Soloist
According to the Gaon Music Chart, BLACKPINK Rosé s debut single album -R- is the best-selling album by a female K-pop soloist. Released on Mar. 19, 2021, -R- has sold 446,314, according to Gaon. However, according to the Hanteo Chart, the single album has sold 502,447 copies.
According to YG Entertainment, Rosé is the first South Korean female soloist to surpass half a million sales in nineteen years.

Upon its release, Map of the Soul: 7 debuted at the top of the Gaon Album Chart, having sold over 2.65 million copies within the first six hours of its release.
