MELAKA: The Seck Kia Eenh (SKE) Buddhist Temple will remain closed over the Lunar New Year period. The temple s honorary secretary Baba Chan Leong Hin said the management board had unanimously agreed that the place of worship would remain closed on Feb 11,12 and 19 after taking into consideration the safety and welfare of devotees. He said there were major concerns over an unexpected number of devotees turning up. We apologise to devotees for any inconvenience caused as a result of this decision. It was not an easy decision to reach but we had to strike a balance between protecting health and minimising disruption, he said in a statement on Tuesday (Feb 9). ....
