Seattle paramedics have been accused of negligence after allegedly leaving a 19-year-old teenager shot inside the city s lawless, autonomous zone to die despite being minutes away from the victim, court papers revealed.
Authorities were instantly called at around 2:19 a.m. after Lorenzo Anderson was shot several times on June 20, 2020, right outside of the city s Capitol Hill Occupied Protest (CHOP) zone, the New York Post reported, citing three Notices of Claims filed Wednesday by a law firm representing Anderson s estate. ....

Man fatally shot in Seattle's 'CHOP' autonomous zone was 'left to die' by first responders, report says

Dan Nolte, a spokesperson for the Seattle City Attorney s Office, said the agency intends to investigate these brought claims and will defend the City in this matter.
Anderson, whose full name is Horace Lorenzo Anderson, was shot June 20 in the Capitol Hill Organized Protest, or CHOP, zone and transported by volunteer medics to Harborview Medical Center, where he died, the Seattle Fire Department said at the time.
King County prosecutors on Aug. 5 charged 18-year-old Marcel Long with first-degree murder in the case, accusing him of fatally shooting Anderson and fleeing the state. A warrant has been issued for Long’s arrest. ....

'Summer of Blood': Suit Alleges Seattle Let Teen Bleed to Death Because He Was In the CHOP

Remember when Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan described the madness that happened in the BLM Seattle CHOP autonomous zone last year as a “summer of love?”
In addition to a lot of damage and other craziness, multiple people were also killed in the zone.
One of those people was 19-year-old Lorenzo Anderson. We reported on how President Donald Trump called and tried to comfort his father, and how insane it was that Durkan hadn’t shut down and cleared out the area.
But now, according to the NY Post, the estate of Lorenzo Anderson has filed suit against the Seattle Police Department, the Seattle Emergency Medical Services, Mayor Jenny Durkan, the Seattle City Council, and the state of Washington alleging that they were all negligent and “breached the duty of reasonable care” when he was shot in the zone in June of last year. ....
