There is further pressure from BJP to drop at least two more candidates Gajanan Kirtikar from Mumbai North West and Hemant Godse from Nashik as well as cede some of its traditional seats like Thane, Palghar, Ratnagiri-Sindhudurg and Nashik to the BJP and NCP
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi announced that his party is in talks with the Trinamool Congress for seat-sharing arrangements for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
Abdullah said: "If we have to save the country, we will have to forget differences and think about the country. If seat-sharing arrangement is not finalised then there is a threat to the alliance. It should be done in a time-bound manner. It is possible some may come together to form a separate alliance, which I feel is the biggest danger. There is still time."
