this is our twice-a-year book fair where we have 60 dealers from all over the west coast to come to exhibit. we use sort of to differentiate ourselves from what might be like a book fair at a school, because if we just say book fair, people don t necessarily what it is. but what we sell here isn t necessarily old, a better definition might be old and collectible but there are many relatively modern books here for sale. some of the specialties that dealers have, children s books are very popular, cook books, cowboys, indians, gold mine, world travel, specially china and japan but all over world travels, anything with maps, say like captain cook. anything done by him is very popular. it depends really on the dealer. we re all individual businesses so we all represent what we like or what we think is interesting or valuable. .. this is a fun, small row book fair to do. the camaraderie of getting to see old friends out a semi regular basis. being a bookseller, we are all ....
so how hard was it to do this book, how long did it take? guest: it took three years of full-time research and writing, obviously that s not counting my two decades plus as a reporter on military and national security issues prior to that, you know, gaining a lot of that information of previous articles, previous books and it s also not counting the time spent in the editing process after those three years were up. it was very difficult but, you know, obviously not impossible to find the people and, you know, in some cases the other publish works or unpublished works that could power the story of this organization from its roots in 1980 all the way to the fight of islamic state. joint special operations command is the command united states military secret special operations missions. it was formed in 1980 as a result of the failure of operation eagle claw which was the at the same time to rescue the american hostages in iran. the pentagon put together a blue chip boar ....
