Forum to look at offshore wind industry in New Hampshire February 20, 2021 GMT PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) A forum on the offshore wind industry in New Hampshire will be hosted by a panel that represents more than 2,500 businesses in the Seacoast region. The forum is scheduled for Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon via Zoom by the Seacoast Chamber Alliance. A panel discussion on the burgeoning industry will feature state Sen. David Watters, D-Dover, and New Hampshire Offshore Wind Industry Director Michael Behrmann. Watters has filed legislation designed to help spur the development of offshore wind projects and other renewable energy. The forum is sponsored by Eversource.

Seacoast Safe: Businesses pledge to mitigate COVID-19 spread By Ian Lenahan EXETER Adjusting to everyday operations restricted by the coronavirus, a number of Seacoast businesses have vowed to help keep employees and patrons safe with the protocols of the Seacoast Safe initiative. Brought to life by Jennifer Wheeler, president of the Exeter Area Chamber of Commerce, and members of her Seacoast Chamber Alliance cohorts in November, the Seacoast Safe pledge ensures businesses are “demonstrating their commitment to the health and safety of the community by following the recommended public health guidelines to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.” A Seacoast Safe sticker is placed on a store’s window and owners are given access to an online booklet of necessary resources. Wheeler said, “All of this is designed to increase consumer confidence while building awareness of the measures businesses are taking to keep the Seacoast safe, healthy and open.”
