On April 15, the Division of Student Affairs announced renovations for the Student Service and Cafeteria’s (SS-8) second floor to improve the space for Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and the Dean of Students Office. The Student Service offices on the Breezeway, above the food court, have been temporarily relocated. This includes CAPS, the Dean.
Student Government (SG) has been busy this semester in order to provide students with ample resources. SG’s goals this semester are to help students get the education they need, have fun, and save as much money as possible. They are doing this through countless programs like their partnerships with Brightline and Lyft, the Textbook Support.
FAU Libraries faculty and staff worked to create a digital presentation of items from this world-class collection of more than 13,000 books, pamphlets, government publications, newspapers and serials, including rare works from as early as the 16th century.
“The Marvin & Sybil Weiner Spirit of America Collection brings the history of the United States and its founding principles to life,” said Carol Hixson, dean of FAU Libraries. “The ongoing digitization of the collection now makes these rare and unique materials available to researchers and students around the world and reminds us of the hopes and aspirations of our founding fathers.”
The team created a digital collection of Weiner pamphlets. There are currently 585 pamphlets with more being added every day.
