Hero MotoCorp slips 8% in six days


Hero MotoCorp fell 1.99% to Rs 3,189.45, as the scrip extended decline for the sixth consecutive session.
The stock has fallen 7.93% in six sessions, from its recent closing high of Rs 3,464 recorded on 8 March 2021.
The scrip is currently trading 12.10% below its 52-week high of Rs 3,628.55 hit on 18 February 2021. It has gained 116.23% from its 52-week low of Rs 1,475 recorded on 24 March 2020.
During the month of February, Hero MotoCorp sold 5,05,467 vehicles, which is higher 1.45% as compared to 4,98,242 units sold in the same month of the previous year.
The company continues to witness sequential improvement in total auto sales. Its total auto sales grew by 4.03% in February 2021 from 485,889 units sold in January 2021. ....

MIDHANI announces board meeting to consider interim divided


Mishra Dhatu Nigam (MIDHANI) said that its board will meet on Monday, 15 March 2021, to consider a proposal regarding declaration of interim dividend for the financial year 2020-21.
The record date for entitlement for aforesaid interim dividend, if declared by the company, will be Tuesday, 23 March, 2021, MIDHANI said in a BSE filing made after market hours yesterday.
Consequently, the scrip is trading higher by 1.62% to trade at Rs 197.90 on the BSE. While the scrip is still trading below its 200-day simple moving average (SMA) placed at Rs 199.28, it has, however, managed to trade above its 50-day and 100-day SMAs placed at Rs 194.16 and Rs 191.89, respectively. ....

Mis-selling, dividend tax change spur outflows from hybrid funds


Balanced or aggressive hybrid funds saw sustained outflows last year as subdued performance and mis-selling led investors to pull out money.
Last year, the category saw outflows of over Rs 24,000 crore, data from the Association of Mutual Funds in India (Amfi) shows.
“Balanced funds were sold and misunderstood as ‘safe’ products. Last year’s market crash, however, led to significant capital erosion, which prompted investors to move out of such funds. A lot of investors had also invested on the premise that they would get consistent dividends, which did not materialise,” said Amol Joshi, founder, Plan Rupee Investment Services.
The funds were also mis-sold by distributors, especially by a number of bank branches, which sold them as products that could provide consistent dividends, said people in the know. ....
