Quinn Sullivan’s bicycle kick in the 28th minute against Chicago Fire last weekend has been named the MLS Goal of the Week.
With the Union trailing 1-0, Sullivan took advantage of being unmarked on a corner kick. Jamiro Monteiro’s cross was met by a Chicago defender who attempted to clear, although it went directly to a lurking Sullivan.
The 17-year old Philadelphia native twisted for the overhead kick, sending the whole league into a frenzy and garnering the No. 2 spot on Saturday’s SportsCenter Top 10 plays. ....
