DENVER â The Grizzly Rose is reopening its doors March 18. The popular dance hall and bar has been closed for more than a month following a viral video showing the bar packed with hundreds inside.
In a Facebook post, The Grizzly Rose announced they d be reopening next week Thursday to Sunday at 6 p.m., but said they ll be doing things differently for a while.
Access inside will be by advance online ticket sales only. Ticketmaster events will be posted each night. ....

As Colorado shifts its COVID-19 dial again and the City of Denver moves to Level Yellow, music venues eager to host slightly larger audiences are celebrating the news.and the loosened restrictions, which start today, February 6.
At indoor unseated events, venues can host up to 50 percent capacity but no more than fifty or a hundred people, depending on the size of the space and using the state s Social Distancing Space Calculator. Indoor seated events can have up to a hundred people or 50 percent capacity whichever is smaller. Outdoor events can have up to 175 people or 50 percent capacity again, whichever is smaller. DENVER â The owner of the Grizzly Rose said he gave the green light to violate the state health order capacity limit last Saturday when a crowd of mostly maskless people packed into the bar.
Earlier in the week, a video circulated online of people failing to socially distance in the country dance hall. Scott Durland claimed he didnât advertise on the radio or on television. He said it was all word of mouth.

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) – The Grizzly Rose is closed until further notice after the Tri-County Health Department issued an order to close Wednesday. The move comes after the venue hosted more people than current state COVID guidelines allow.
Owner Scott Durland says he was out of town last weekend when his staff became overwhelmed with capacity concerns.

“There were some problems forming outside because the crowds were so big, and I made the decision on the phone at that time to let them in,” Durland told CBS4’s Andrea Flores. “I said just said, ‘Go ahead and let the people come in.’” ....
