What's reopening in Fakenham on May 17 as restrictions ease

In one week we hit the third stop on our roadmap out of lockdown, and with that brings a host of restrictions easing. Pubs and restaurants are allowed to let people indoors, theatres and cinemas reopening, and hotels let visitors stay.
Following the successful reopening of hairdressers, pub gardens, and non-essential shops during April, Step 3 out of lockdown is expected to come into place from Monday, May 17.
The main change is that indoor hospitality will be allowed, meaning pubs will be able to offer indoor dining and drinking again, much to the joy of both landlords and customers who have endured cold and wet days to get back to the pub.  ....

A further easing of COVID-19 lockdown rules is planned for Monday, May 17 in England.
Step 3 of the government s roadmap out of lockdown will allow indoor hospitality again at pubs and restaurants.
Hotel and other holiday accommodation can open again, and theatres, cinemas and indoor attractions will be able to welcome back customers and visitors.
The government will announce one week in advance of the May 17th date whether restrictions will be relaxed as planned, so confirmation of the changes is expected on Monday, May 10. ....

Uttlesford set for lockdown easing: The rules from May 17


Following the move to Step 3, further settings will be permitted to open.
Unless a specific exemption exists, these must only be attended/used in line with the latest wider social contact limits – in a group of six people or two households indoors, or in a group of no more than 30 people outdoors.
When can pubs open indoors?
The indoor areas of hospitality businesses such as pubs, cafes and restaurants will be able to open up their indoor spaces again from May 17 at the earliest, but there will still be some restrictions in place.
After eating and drinking al fresco since Step 2 of lockdown easing on April 12, there will be no need to check the weather forecast every time you head to the pub or restaurant from May 17. ....

What's reopening in Dereham as restrictions ease on May 17?


Indoor events can open for up to 1,000 people or 50pc capacity, again whichever is lower.
For film fans, Orion Cinema in Dereham has confirmed that they will open on May 17 after undergoing some major changes.
The cinema now boasts an online booking system that automatically socially distances guests once they book and a new Dolby 7.1 sound system 
Lee Allwood, director of Orion Cinemas since 2019 when they took over Hollywood Cinemas, said: We re looking forward to inviting film fans back to the cinema on May 17 after being closed since December.
We have lots of new films including Peter Rabbit 2 and Nomadland. ....

Now that many of the shops, pubs and cafés have returned – al fresco, at least – people in North Somerset will be thinking ahead to Step 3 of the Government s roadmap out of Covid-19 restrictions. 
A further easing of lockdown rules is planned for May 17. The main difference will see indoor hospitality back in business, and a return for many arts and culture venues including Cineworld and the Odeon, in Weston.
