government had established probable cause of potential violation of three federal statutes. number one relates to the unlawful removal of government material. number two relates to the law prohibiting the destruction or concealment of documents to obstruct an investigation. number three, potentially the most explosive, the espionage act. the inventory of what the fbi seized includes around 20 boxes of items including four sets of top-secret documents, three sets of secret documents, and three sets of confidential documents. the list does not provide any more details about the substance of those documents or what might be in them. in addition, there was binders of photos, signatures of the former president, executive grant of clemency for roger stone and my personal favorite quote, info. re the president of france. can t wait to find out what that is. the vagueness of that inventory will leave people wondering exactly what exactly is in those boxes. there will be room ....

makes it all the more concerning when you look at how many of trump s pardons carried the stink of political patronage and best in corrupt self-interest at worst. according to pew research center over the course of his four years in office trump only granted 237 acts of clemency. that s the third lowest number of pardons for any president in history. only the two president bush is pardoned fewer people. it would seem that trump was extremely selective about who he pardoned. still some of his pardons were widely praised. like alice johnson in 2020 who was serving life in prison for a nonviolent drug conviction. he posthumously pardoned the historical figure season being anthony, arrested for voting illegally. in 1870 to inject johnson the first black heavyweight boxing champ who is subject to a racist conviction in 1913 for transporting a white woman across state lines. but he also pardoned a robes gallery of political figures including many of his own associates. some o ....
a judge in florida saying there are portions that could be unsealed and giving the doj a week to explain everything that they say needs to be kept secret. but will it be page after page of black redactions? how will we know? we don t know until we see it. that as a justice department lawyer says the affidavit contains, and i quote here, substantial grand jury information and warns releasing it could have a chilling effect on witnesses. but the judge did release several never-before-seen documents today including the motion where prosecutors argue that they needed to keep their search warrant secret because the integrity of the ongoing investigation might be compromised and evidence might be destroyed. there are some more really intriguing clues in one of those documents. more on that in just a moment. but you ve got to wonder just how much the former president actually wants the full affidavit to be released. because his lawyer sitting right there in court today did ....
