16-year-old commits to FAMU over Yale and Harvard


Florida A&M University is the fall destination for highly recruited scholar Curtis Lawrence III.
The 16-year-old Washington, D.C., graduating senior announced in a video on social media his eagerly awaited decision to enroll as part of the FAMU Class of 2025.  
Lawrence, who graduates with a high school diploma and an associate degree and will enter FAMU as a rising junior, has been offered more than $1.6 million in scholarships.

He had also been accepted to Harvard University, Howard University, Hampton University, George Washington University (GWU), Morehouse Colleg, Morgan State University, North Carolina A&T State University, University of California-Berkeley, University of Chicago, and Yale University.   ....

Malawi small scale farmers urged to embrace modern farming technologies

Small scale farmers in the country need to embrace new agriculture technologies if they are to hit it big in their trade and maximize food production efficiency which is key in the elimination of hunger in the country, Minister of Agriculture, Lobin Lowe, has implored.
Lowe made the urge Friday at the Capital Hotel Marque in Lilongwe during a premier of a Kulima documentary titled ‘School Without Walls’ whose chief aim is to promote farmers by improving their access to use of agriculture research innovations by Malawian farmers.
