HAMPDEN/WILBRAHAM – The Hampden-Wilbraham Regional School District (HWRSD) hosted its second budget roundtable of the year on March 3 and was joined by the Hampden Advisory Board, the Wilbraham Finance Committee and the Boards of Selectmen from both towns.

ATHOL A week after holding a public hearing on the proposed spending plan, the Athol Royalston Regional School Committee last Wednesday endorsed a FY22 education budget of just over $29.5 million.
“Last week,” said Superintendent Darcy Fernandes, “we did present this budget to the community, and all of the current School Committee members were present.”
She then went on to note that one minor tweak to the proposal had been made during the intervening week.
“There has only been one change made to the document as we go forward for a vote tonight,” she continued. “If you look at the sheet where we outline our spending, what was not included in the last one was the mentor for our new business manager and for our facilities manager.
Greenfield schools seek $753,931 hike for FY22 budget

GREENFIELD The School Committee plans to present the mayor with a fiscal year 2022 budget that is a $753,931 or 3.83 percent increase over this year.
The committee held a special meeting Monday evening to talk about everything from the budget, to sports and in-person learning, to the new superintendent search.
Dr. Judith Houle, who is serving as interim superintendent until the School Committee hires a new one, presented the budget a week and a half after she joined the school district and Jordana Harper left. She said a school district’s budget should speak to its vision and the work it needs to do, and that’s what the $20,425,011 budget does the actual budget is $22,776,940, but the district plans to use $2,351,929 in grants to offset it.
