The Hamilton County school board next week will consider whether to give each member a $3,000 allowance for development opportunities and related travel expenses.

Since Hamilton County expressed interest in BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee s Golden Gateway site in early May, county Mayor Weston Wamp has pushed for it to be used as a downtown career and technical school, citing the long-shuttered Kirkman Technical High School as an inspiration for the project.
