Many of the families say they will light candles at home to remember their loved ones that were killed. It affected the whole nation, and people here in the bay area paused here today to remember the victims. We are outside San Francisco city hall where a vigil took place just a few hours ago. Gun control advocates say there is still more work to do. As the names of the newtown victims are read aloud, for a moment people stopped and reflected on the lives lost. We are following two breaking news stories this noontime. One in san rafael where a pedestrian has been hit and killed at the downtown Farmers Market. We begin in livermore where a deadly accident is causing major traffic problems. The crash was first reported in the westbound lanes near first street just after 10 00 a. M. The chp says a hummer rear ended a Jeep Cherokee and the jeep burst into flames. The officers say one person in the jeep was killed. The hummer also caught fire. The chp initially shut down the highway in both directions causing a huge backup. Right now the even lanes are open. Traffic is moving slowly, but the chp expects the westbound lanes to be closed for several hours.
