Collision where there shouldn t have been any survivors. i mean, it is truly a miracle that they re alive. reporter: the area known as devil s slide is known for its scenic views and steep drop. eyewitnesses frantically called 911. i could see in my rearview mirror just the car being, you know, straight like this and then all of a sudden just disappeared down. reporter: rescuers rappelling down the cliff saved the two children first then a helicopter crew hoisted the two adults from the mangled vehicle, which had landed on its tires. the damage to the vehicle would indicate that it hit and then flipped and landed mostly on its wheels. reporter: the family rushed to the hospital. neighbors are shocked. i have a loss of words right now, so i hope that they ll be okay. reporter: police say the driver will be booked into the county jail after he s released from the hospital. investigators have not said why he may have done it. lester. all right, gabe, thank you. up next, ....
