The UC Board of Regents Academic and Student Affairs Committee met Wednesday to discuss recent transfer student legislation, plans to streamline the transfer process and increase graduate student enrollment.
Applications to the University of California for fall 2023 have decreased by 2.2% since last year, from 251,179 to 245,768 applications, according to data released recently from the University.

With state lawmakers immersed in the COVID-19 pandemic response and Texas’ electricity failures, the public’s access to information must be at the forefront of the Legislature’s actions. Information allows the public to watch over their government, speak out and ask questions.
There’s no better time than Sunshine Week, which started Sunday, to emphasize the importance of the people’s right to know.
