DAVENPORT, Iowa, July 18, 2023 Metronet, the nation’s largest independently owned 100% fiber optic provider, today announced it has been ranked the fastest internet service provider (ISP) in Iowa. According to recently released data from Ookla® Speedtest Intelligence®, Metronet was ranked the "Fastest Internet Service Provider in Iowa" with a median download speed of 251.21 megabits per second (Mbps) and median upload speed of 213.55 Mbps for Q2 2023.
Three decades after the Floods of '93, Saylorville is now nearing 50 years old. Lake Red Rock downstream has been operating even longer. Both reservoirs can still hold plenty of floodwater, but their long-term future is uncertain, thanks in part to sedimentation.
