Michael Marois alone is responsible for shooting and killing another man in a jealous rage, a Sudbury judge said Tuesday in sentencing the Hanmer man to life in prison.
Justice Alex Kurke said it’s wrong for Marois’ family and friends to blame his estranged girlfriend, Lisa Langdon, for what happened on July 12, 2020, during a barbecue at a Hanmer home.

In a jealous rage, Michael Marois snapped, went home, got his guns, and returned to a party where he shot another man five times killing him for talking to his girlfriend.
Marios may have shot more people, but his girlfriend tackled him as he pointed a shotgun at the partygoers on the evening of July 12, 2020.
