I don t know if you noticed in the piece that it was all local haitians who were actually moving those boxes. this organization hires local folks. it s literally one guy this is can-do.org. they really incorporate those people. and it helps because they speak the language, they know the community, they often know where these things are necessary. there has to be i ve heard this over and over again from every group, there has to be buy-in from the local population and local government. you can t have this permanent class of foreign, you know, international development people and ngos driving around in new, white shiny vehicles. they ve got to be enter greated into the community because unless there s buy-in by local people and local people running the thing, it s not going to really be effective at all. we got to go. we ll have a lot more in the next hour. gary tuchman, i m watching, sanjay gupta, appreciate it. more from the haiti at the top of the hour. ....
