Today. some were open for business but not many. the university of baltimore opened but not many going to classes. the fear is that it s going to ignite into something like we saw yesterday. way too early to tell. but in one of the oddities oriels will be playing tomorrow but with nobody in the stadium. no fans are allowed inside. they will play a game tomorrow but with no fans in attendance. you can imagine, 15 businesses have been burned down or shut down in the affected areas and the economic light on baltimore continues. a number of businesses in ferguson were burned to the ground. how do you come back from that? as they told me it isn t easy. everybody is keeping an eye on the demonstrators but when it comes to the kids the parents of those protesters and whether ....
Targeting black youths or saying that these incidents that happens is predictable? what he s trying to say is what? what is he trying to say? ferguson? staten island? we know what happened in south carolina with that officer. we all saw with our own eyes there is bad apples out there. i don t hear the president talking about the 80-100 officers that get killed across this country. i don t hear the president talking about 90% of the kids in baltimore are killed by other black on black crime. why daent he open his mouth on black and black crime. he should be trying to stop that instead of blaming the cops for the violence. we all know what happened to that young. he didn t say that. it makes you wonder if he saw it in the context that he saw ferguson and south carolina and all these others and he s tying ....
Dangerous, right? as a business own, i did get by her store when i was in ferguson she is saying you are hurting the businesses, the cvs, suppose somebody s grandma needs a prescription now. the senior citizen s whose recreational center was destroyed. where is grandma going to go. i think the children who love their parents and grantparents are thinking about that. millions of dollars gone. what i m most upset about them is trying to paraphrase the words of martin luther king jr. the voice of the violent. violence is the voice of the aopressed. martin luther king was not condoning violence. he was saying listen to the needs of the people. these issues are going to have to be addressed. we re going to have to look at poverty, educational disparity. ....
Now to a business owner who has seen all of this before. this is juniece andrews antique store burning to the ground during the ferguson riots last fall. the building is being demolished today. it s not getting back to normal for her. she joins us on the phone right now. how are you holding up? it s mixed emotions. i m trying to move forward. i am moving forward. but there is still things that need the healing that needs to be take place in our community. we re working on moving forward and working on healing. you know you always seem so calm when you talked to you throughout the whole ferguson riots. you know you have said god will take care of this we ll get back. and you re not back yet. now you see what s going on in baltimore. any advice to those store owners and business owners many of whom are going through what you went through? i would like to say, my advice to the business owners is ....
