9 11, literally. This is by far the most horrific thing ive seen in my life. The whole thing came down. It looks like a bomb went off. Were pretty sure a bomb didnt go off. Heartbreaking for anyone still trapped inside. This stunning new hopeful. A young boy being rescued from the rubble. There are fears, understandable fears, more people could be trapped. Right now more than 80 Emergency Teams are working to find survivors if they can. This is what the 12story Ocean Front Condo Building looked like before this mornings collapse. And now a huge piece of that structure came down. Cnns Leyla Santiago is on the scene in surf side, florida, with the very latest. Do we have any idea, leyla, how many people were inside that building when it came down . Reporter that is a very big unanswered question at this point. No word how many could be trapped and what caused the collapse. Here is what the mayor said a short time ago. They were doing roof work on the building at the time. Certainly that doesnt seem like it would be the issue that would have caused it. Some of the residents at the Community Center have complained to me the new building that went up to the south used to shake the building when they were putting the pilings in. We need to look hard at what happened there and find out because buildings just dont fall down like this. We had the dogs out there probably a few hours ago over the collapsed area and were just not getting any hits which is really heartbreaking.
