Local students’ ornaments hanging on D.C. national trees
WASHINGTON, D.C. Artwork by Brown County High School students has decked the lawn of President’s Park and the White House this Christmas season.
Each year, 56 Christmas trees go on display at President’s Park in Washington, D.C., representing all 50 states, the U.S. territories and D.C.
This year, Andi Rogers Bartels’ art students at Brown County High School were chosen to decorate the tree representing the Hoosier state.
Bartels said she was told Brown County had been selected due to its rich art heritage. This is the first time a Brown County school has been selected for this program.
