In any experiment three things can happen: the hypothesis can be proven true; the hypothesis can be proven false; or the results can be inconclusive.
The results of the success of the sudden shift to virtual learning in March 2020 possibly did all three depending on a mix of variables, according to parents and school officials who spoke with the Savannah Morning News.
Despite the start of the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, January has been a rough month for Georgia.
Sunday afternoon, on the eve of February, some COVID metrics were finally trending downwards after spiking for the last couple of months. On a positive note, the seven day average for new positive cases has been heading downwards for the last three weeks.
But more concerning is the weekly death totals. Since Jan. 9, the metric has been as high as it has been since the start of the pandemic, hovering around 750 confirmed deaths a week since Jan. 9.
As for vaccine distribution, on Sunday, all Pfizer and Moderna vaccines allocated in the state had been shipped over 1.3 million doses. Of those, 913,936 had been administered.
