With simultaneous raids by the Income Tax (IT) department continuing for the fourth day on different locations linked to liquor traders in Odisha on Saturday, the BJP alleged that the BJD Government and some leaders of the ruling party have an unholy nexus with the tax evaders.

The Income Tax department conducted raids on an Odisha-based distillery group, recovering over Rs 220 crore in cash. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the money looted from the public will have to be returned. The raids, linked to tax evasion, found 156 bags of cash, totaling Rs 220 crore, in places associated with the distillery group.
