Since his 2016 mini-series,
Streets of Your Town, became the most watched ABC arts program of that year, comedian/radio host turned architecture advocate, Tim Ross, has been making a follow-up documentary that delves into the lives lived inside iconic walls. As with its predecessor, the humour in
Designing a Legacy is of a whimsical nature. Ross wears his heart on his sleeve as he crosses hallowed thresholds from Queensland to Tasmania, of houses designed by the likes of Robin Boyd, Gabriel Poole and Ken Woolley.

Sammy J’s 2020 Dumpster Fire Spectacular succinctly sums up, using very 2020 vernacular, the year that fell apart, its working title is even more descriptive.
“I wanted to call it the ‘Arse-Crunching Dumpster Fire Spectacular’ but the ABC thought that might not look the best on the promotions,” he says.

The show is a collection of the sketches that made us bitterly laugh and sometimes cry as we navigated unprecedented times.
