A Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA) survey revealed that 44 per cent of rural Albertans report that a lack of social interaction throughout the pandemic has become a mental health challenge. This is unsurprising, given that lockdowns and stay-at-home measures have significantly impacted our regular routines and day-to-day activities. Human beings are social creatures, and restrictions on our ability to socialize and interact with one another certainly can impact our psychological condition.
