Bowen boy, 13, dies in alleged stolen car crash

UPDATE 12.50PM: A 13-year-old boy has died in a fiery single-vehicle crash in Bowen.
The Bowen boy died at the scene of the horrific crash while members of the public helped his 14-year-old passenger out of the wreck.
The vehicle was allegedly stolen from Sarina Tuesday night.
Superintendent Glenn Morris described the early morning crash as a “very sad and very tragic event” and confirmed police would allege the vehicle involved was stolen.
A 13-year-old boy was killed in a stolen car crash at Bowen.
Superintendent Morris said the 14-year-old boy from Sarina was taken to Townsville Base Hospital for “further treatment and medical investigation”. ....
