A CHARITY has bought and renovated two properties in Bridgwater to house people who are facing homelessness. The properties, brought by Arc, will be able to house 15 people in the area who are homeless. Arc currently has 14 accommodation units (16 with the new properties) to support homeless people in Taunton and Bridgwater. These houses of multiple occupancy act as ‘satellite properties’, where Arc’s support workers provide guidance which includes regular one-to-one meetings. They offer professional help with difficulties such as finances, mental health problems, or addictions. The satellite properties also give clients the chance to become more independent and will enable them to eventually move into their own accommodation. ....
