School wasn't in session at Mountain View High School on Friday, but there was still a buzz of activity as students and community members gathered for a women's wellness retreat organized by junior Illyana Collins.
Joseph Major, 27, appeared before Judge Stephen Schapanski Wednesday morning where he pleaded guilty to one count of sexual exploitation of a child and an additional count of child abuse.
Joseph Major, 27, appeared before Chief Judge Susan Blanco Wednesday morning for a hearing during which his attorney, Christen Nickel, requested that his bond be lowered to a substantially smaller cash or surety bond or a personal recognizance or co-sign personal recognizance bond; he is currently in custody at the Larimer County Jail in Fort Collins on a $100,000 cash or surety bond.
The investigation into Joseph Major is ongoing and, given the nature of the charges, investigators would like to speak with information about inappropriate or concerning interactions involving Major, according to the release.
