alex murdaugh the disgraced former south carolina attorney will be sentenced after a jury found him guilty of killing his wife maggie and 22-year-old son paul. the jury deliberating less than three hours thursday afternoon, this follows more than a month of testimony. the convicted murdaugh on two counts of murder, two counts of possessing a weapon while committing a crime. one of those jurors speaking out on abc this morning. about 45 minutes later we after all our deliberating, we figured it out. that s really fast. the evidence was clear. the state says it is not seeking the death penalty, instead prosecutors are pushing for life in prison without the possibility of parole. the judge denied a defense motion to declare a mistrial saying there was overwhelming evidence to convict murdaugh. the main prosecutor also spoke after the verdict was read. justice was done today. it doesn t matter who your family is, it doesn t matter how much money you have or people thi
