Luke Coulthard, 19, committed his first offence in January, Carlisle’s Rickergate Magistrates Court was told. But on May 30 he was back in trouble after he committed yet more drug driving offences. He pleaded guilty to driving at Station Road,Wigton, while over the limit for a cocaine breakdown product on May 30. He also admitted two further offences – both committed at Caldbeck Common. One involved him having cocaine in his system and the other the same cocaine breakdown product in his body – both offences having arisen out of his use of that one drug. Prosecutor Malcolm Isherwood said it was the same officer who stopped the defendant in his VW Polo on the two occasions involved – one during the early hours of May 30 and the other 10.45pm the same day.
