Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll (Mai Tangale), the Emir of Billiri is dead.
Recall that the first class ruler of Tangale chiefdom in Gombe had months ago tested positive for coronavirus but recovered after treatment for 12 days.
Former Governor, Hassan Dankwambo of Gombe State confirmed his death on Monday.
He, however, did not give details of his death.
The ex-Governor in a post on his Twitter page expressed shock over the Emir’s death.
Dankwambo condoled with the family of the Emir and people of Gombo over his death.
His tweet read: “My Family and I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the good people of Gombe over the death of His Royal Highness, Dr. Abdu Buba Maisheru ll (Mai Tangale) the Emir of Billiri. ....

A Magistrates’ court sitting in Wuse Zone II, Abuja, has admitted Omoyele Sowore, and four others bail in the sum of N20 million each.
Recall that Sowore was arrested alongside other activists for leading a protest against bad governance in the early hours on New Year’s Eve in the nation’s capital.
Following the development, the police had arraigned the five of them on a three-count charge bordering on conspiracy, unlawful assembly, and incitement.
Also, the magistrate, Mabel Segun-Bello had ordered that they be remanded at the Kuje correctional centre.
However, the Magistrates’ court sitting in Wuse Zone II, Abuja, on Monday admitted the convener of the Revolution Now Movement and the four others to bail in the sum of N20 million each. ....

An Emir in Zamfara State, Alhaji Attahiru Ahmed Muhammad has condemned in strong terms the peace accord and reconciliation process initiated by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle of Zamfara State.
The monarch disclosed this in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of the state when he paid a condolence visit to the Emir of Kaura Namoda emirate, Major Sanusi Muhammad Asha in his palace.
Ahmed who is the Chairman, Zamfara State Council of Chiefs as well as the Emir of Anka noted that the peace accord and reconciliation process initiated by Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle is not producing any beneficial result in the state. ....
