For many families, taking young children for an up-close and personal visit with Santa Claus is a big part of the holiday season. But not in the era of COVID-19.
This year, families, business owners, town officials, and even Santas have one thing on their minds — how to stay safe from a deadly virus while still embracing the holiday spirit.
Because of the need for social distancing this year, kids haven’t been able to sit on Santa’s lap or even on a chair or bench next to him to tell him what they want for Christmas.
