DNCU Sponsors 2021 Online LEGO® Creations Contest DNCU News: SANTA FE – Del Norte Credit Union (DNCU) announces its title sponsorship for the annual LEGO® Creations Contest hosted by the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association (SFHABA) and DNCU. The annual LEGO® competition normally takes place during the Santa Fe Home Show and Expo, but that is now an online event due to the pandemic. The contest will be held virtually for the second year in a row. The contest is open to area kids 12 and under (and their parents or guardians) that live under the Santa Fe Area Home Builders Association service territories. These counties include Los Alamos, Santa Fe, Taos, Rio Arriba San Miguel, Mora and Colfax.

NIMBY – which stands for “not in my backyard” – is often used to refer to those who oppose developments or other building projects in their area. And, in Santa Fe, where squabbles between neighborhood associations and developers are commonplace, it’s a word many have become quite familiar with. But Heldmeyer, a former Santa Fe city councilor and current neighborhood activist, told the Journal she doesn’t agree with the perception of the word, implying that those from neighborhood associations stand against all development. She also formed the Neighborhood Network, which organizes neighborhood associations across the city.
