Satellite images and videos captured the scope of the “atmospheric river” that drenched the Bay Area and brought heavy snowfall to the Lake Tahoe area on Tuesday and into Wednesday.
The storm system will be concentrated over Monterey County on Wednesday, bringing steady rain throughout the day and overnight into Thursday in the Bay Area, according to the National Weather Service.
A few lingering showers are expected Friday morning before the day dries out, NWS metereologist Cindy Palmer said. ....
