A man who died in a Northeastern Pennsylvania helicopter crash last week was identified as a Lehigh Valley doctor, according to a recent news report.
Sanjay Kansara, of Upper Saucon Township, Lehigh County was the registered owner of the four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed in a remote area in Wyoming County around 9 p.m. Thursday, after departing from the Allentown Queen City Municipal Airport an hour earlier, LehighValleyLive reports citing Federal Aviation Administration records.
Kansara s employer, Guthrie health network, described him as a fine physician and gentleman, in a Facebook announcement posted Friday.

Dr. Kansara joined Guthrie in September and was a member of the Robert Packer Hospital anesthesiology team. According to Star-Gazette, he was involved in a helicopter crash Thursday night in northeastern Pennsylvania. The National Transportation Safety Board is currently unaware of what caused the accident.
According to his colleagues, Dr. Kansara had a passion for flying and enjoyed the freedom of being able to fly himself between his home in the Allentown area and Guthrie’s Sayre Campus. Kansara’s positive demeanor will be missed by his colleagues.

A doctor from the Lehigh Valley has been identified in news reports as the victim of a helicopter crash on Thursday night in a remote area of northeastern Pennsylvania.
Sanjay Kansara, of Upper Saucon Township, was the registered owner of the four-seat Robinson R44 helicopter that crashed in state game lands in Wyoming County about 9 p.m. Thursday, according to Federal Aviation Administration records. It departed from Allentown Queen City Municipal Airport shortly after 8 p.m. and was headed for Bradford County Airport in Towanda.

MEHOOPANY, Pennsylvania A helicopter scheduled to land at the Bradford County Airport in Towanda crashed in rural northeastern Pennsylvania, killing a Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital doctor, according to a report.
The Morning Call newspaper in Allentown spoke with Usha Kansara and she said a Robinson R44 helicopter piloted by her husband, Dr. Sanjay Kansara, crashed in a remote area of Wyoming County.
Kansara is listed as an anesthesiologist on the hospital s website. He lived in Upper Saucon Township and used the helicopter to commute to his job in Sayre, according to The Morning Call.
The wreckage of the private aircraft was found in Wyoming County on Thursday night after the Federal Aviation Administration issued an alert about a missing aircraft, the agency said.
