Fund Flash: Santander expands alts range, Natixis launches growth fund

Santander Asset Management has broadened its alternative investment expertise with its first trade finance fund,
Citywire Americas reports.
The Luxembourg-domiciled Santander Trade Finance Real Economy fund I will be seeded with €25m from Banco Santander and is aimed at institutional investors such as pension funds, insurers and sovereign wealth funds.
Santander said the new fund is designed to offer an alternative to the current low-interest-rate and low-return environment, while offering a diversifier for existing portfolios.
The portfolio will invest across Europe, Asia and the US, with around 350 company positions, which have losses capped at 10%. The average credit rating of each company will be approximately BBB+, while the fund will offer weekly exit windows. ....

The fund is the second WCM product launched internationally on the Natixis UCITS platform
Natixis Investment Managers has launched the WCM Select Global Growth Equity fund from US-based, affiliated manager, WCM Investment Management.
The new Luxembourg-domiciled fund is actively managed, follows a bottom-up stock-picking process and seeks to hold a limited number of securities (about 40) with a long-term, buy-and-manage approach.
The fund will be co-managed by Sanjay Ayer and Mike Hayward, who between them have over 30 years of investment experience. Ayer and Hayward will be supported by a group of global generalists and a dedicated business culture analyst. ....
