Mary Martha Costello, a former supervisor in the Child Protective Services Division of the Baltimore Department of Social Services, died of heart failure April 19 at the Barrington at High Oaks, an assisted living home in Richmond, Virginia. She was 82 and had lived in Towson and in Harford County.

Baltimore police arrested an actress from Charm City Kings in the fatal stabbing of her girlfriend hours into the new year.City police said officers were called around 4:15 a.m. Friday to the 1200 block of North Stricker Street for a report of a cutting.
