Marilyn J. Geer On Monday, December 21, 2020, Marilyn Geer went to be with her Savior after losing her battle with COVID-19. She grew up in New London, MN the oldest of Alvin and Alice Nelsons’ five daughters (siblings JoAnne Dahl, Louise Hofstad, Cindy Torgerson, and Sandi Larson). Her parents taught her that she and her sisters could do anything. She was independent, strong, and at times stubborn. When Marilyn was in 9th grade, she began seeing Charles Geer and after graduating from high school they got married. The two of them made their home in Arizona and in Minneapolis before returning to the New London area and settling permanently. Before they had children, they enjoyed traveling across the country and pulling over at night to camp out. They made many friends along the way. After a little over eight years of marriage, they finally welcomed their first child (Keith Charles). This was an exciting time for them as they had longed for children. It wasn’ ....
