With recent development and new projects on the way, activity in the so-called marina district along the San Sebastian River has given rise to a new entertainment scene in St. Augustine.
One of the bright spots in the revival is the St. Augustine Fish Camp, a waterfront restaurant that opened with dinner service in August 2020 and then expanded to lunch hours in December.
The physical space of the building airy, bright and clean reflects its menu which specializes in Southern coastal cuisine with a modern twist. The décor is nautical, with an industrial warehouse vibe, and walls feature work by local artists. ....

St. Augustine Commission to vote on Sebastian Inland Harbor tonight

The project in another form has already been approved, but developers are seeking an adjustment to the Planned Unit Development agreement, including increasing the number of multi-family units.
The new development plan reflects a reduction of 58 hotel rooms and approximately 10,000 square feet of retail space in exchange for an increase of 80 multi-family units, and the owners have eliminated plans for adding 75-foot and 90-foot towers.
Some Lincolnville residents oppose the project because of its scale and how much it would increase traffic.
Public comment won t be taken on that agenda item tonight because it s only the first reading, but people can make comments on the issue during the meeting s general public comment period.  ....

Getting it out of the ground and down the road was a feat.
We are doing some renovations, general contractor Len Weeks said.
The Lightner Museum in St. Augustine is expanding its backyard. However, a live oak tree was in the way.
Originally, we were going to cut it down, he said.
Weeks said Plan B was to move the tree to a different spot. ....
