Garcia family mourns as they bury father who died of COVID-19

VADO – There was not a dry eye from those in attendance at San Jose Cemetery as Jose Garcia was lowered into his grave.
His wife, Genoveva Garcia, rode in the pickup truck that carried Jose s casket during the procession, reluctantly getting up after her family coerced her when they arrived at the cemetery south of Las Cruces.
Genoveva sobbed loudly alongside all nine of her children while singing in Spanish along with the band that played off to the side during the burial. 
The Garcias two daughters who live out of state, Sandra and Corina, both came to town for the service. Others watched the mass at San Jose Catholic Church and the following burial at San Jose Cemetery via Zoom. ....
